Repurpose micca bookshelf speek box3/13/2023 ![]() ![]() The warmth of vinyl is presented in a true, clear manner through the Micca's, and every time I listen to my records on them I fall in love more and more with vinyl. This applies for not just electronic music, as I have classic rock, hardcore, and death metal albums as well, and they all sound phenomenal. I never realized how important it was to have GOOD sound and how amazing music can really sound. Music sounds fresh to me, and I've gained a deeper, truer appreciation for music now that I can hear all the details and nuances of the songs I'm listening to. Hearing songs I've heard multiple times before on these speakers made me feel like I was hearing them again for the first time. The mids and highs are well rounded, and everything sounds very crisp. The drums come through very punchy and the lows are just so clean. The bass sounds very clear, packs a punch, and is deep & warm. The addition of the center speaker made a huge improvement over the quality of sound. I honestly would recommend the center speaker to anyone who has the Micca bookshelf speakers, because it just "completes" the setup. The center speaker puts out some very clear sounding bass, and provides an excellent warmth and boost to the overall sound of the setup. I absolutely love how crisp the sound is on the Micca setup. one of my favorite things about vinyl is its prevalence in electronic music culture (not the new mainstream EDM shit). I listen to a lot of drum and bass (among other things), and enjoy collecting 12" singles. But damn, the trio of Micca speakers really sound great! The center speaker is absolutely awesome, and I'm really satisfied with it! It was only 70 bucks on Amazon, so it didn't break the bank. But upon setting it up, I realized that, once again, Micca had surpassed my expectations. I was expecting the center speaker to just give me more dynamics and round the sound out. I'd been looking for subwoofers, but decided that the Micca center speaker would be a good addition and would round out the sound for my meager setup. I needed something smaller that could produce some bass but wasn't too overwhelming. Now, with the bookshelf speakers and the center speaker, music sounds absolutely amazing! I have a huge 10" Velodyne subwoofer that I got off craigslist for cheap, but it's huge and I can't use it at home because it's just too damn loud. and THIS was definitely one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Now I totally love all the technical aspects of sound and sound systems.Ībout a month ago I got the center speaker that Micca came out with recently. But, now that I have good speakers and have been working with them, I've gained a new appreciation for audio & systems in general. My dad used to have a pretty sweet hi-fi system and we would always listen to vinyl on it, and this is where the desire for a turntable began. I initially didn't know much about the technical aspects of audio- I've always loved music, but never really had any sort of hi-fi setup. But damn, was I pleasantly surprised! They sound awesome, and I couldn't believe they were of such quality for only 80 bucks. I figured 150 bucks wasn't bad to get an amp and a set of speakers, but what I didn't know was that they would be so good! I just assumed the speakers would be alright, and something to have so I can listen to my turntable until I could get better ones. I read through some posts and found the r/audiophile recommendation of the Micca/Muse combo. I came across this subreddit looking for speakers that I should get. But listening to records on shitty old Sanyo speakers from an old boombox/stereo system started to suck fairly quickly. ![]() it had good reviews and it was cheap so I went for it- was not disappointed, and it still works great. ![]() I have a Pyle Pro that I got on Amazon for like 70 bucks, while retail was like 150. It's a bit long, but if you're considering buying these, then maybe this will help you decide.Īlmost a year ago I finally got a turntable, as I'd been wanting one for ages. So, I just wanted to rant a bit about Micca and how happy I am with the company, and how basically getting a nice speaker setup totally changed my outlook on audio & appreciation of music.
